Freedom, a leading provider of specialized healthcare workforce solutions, today announced the appointment of Paola West as President.
West brings more than two decades of experience designing and leading complex workforce models across healthcare and enterprise environments. As a senior leader, she has been directly responsible for delivering large-scale workforce programs—building the operational architecture required to deploy, manage, and support clinicians in high-pressure, time-sensitive scenarios.
She is recognized for her ability to translate strategy into execution, architect scalable systems, and lead teams through complexity with precision and accountability.
As President of Freedom, West will focus on advancing the company’s strike and rapid-response workforce model—anchored in two core principles: scalability and clinical competency. Freedom’s model is designed to rapidly mobilize large numbers of clinicians while maintaining a high clinical bar, ensuring that every placement meets the demands of the unit, the patient population, and the facility.
“Scale without clinical integrity is risk. Clinical quality without scale is limitation,” said West. “Our model is built to deliver both—at speed, with rigor, and with accountability to the patients and communities we ultimately serve.”
Under West’s leadership, Freedom will continue to invest in operational infrastructure, clinical screening rigor, and technology enablement to support rapid deployment at scale—while delivering a consistent, high-quality experience for both healthcare partners and clinicians.
In addition, Freedom announced the promotion of Justin Meier to Vice President, Client Solutions.
Meier brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare staffing, sales leadership, and operations. In his role, he has led national client acquisition efforts, developed go-to-market strategies across multiple service lines, and built strong executive relationships with healthcare leaders nationwide.
In his expanded role, Meier will continue to drive strategic growth initiatives, deepen client partnerships, and support Freedom’s expansion into new markets and service lines.
This appointment reflects a focused investment in Freedom as a standalone platform for growth, positioning the organization as a premier partner for healthcare systems navigating workforce disruption and critical staffing events.
